Solution of example by using the Critical Ratio rules:

   Given    :      Today date = 25
    Calculate    :    1.    Critical Ratio of each job
                            2.   The Priority Order
                            3.   Comment on the Priority Order for each job  

1.    Critical Ratio of each job

Job Due Date Works Day Remaining Critical Ratio
A 30 4 (30-25)/4 = 1.25
B 28 5 (28-25)/5 = 0.6
C 27 2 ((27-25)/2 = 1.0

2.    The Priority Order

Job Critical Ratio Priority Order
A (30-25)/4 = 1.25 3
B (28-25)/5 = 0.6 1
C (27-25)/2=1.0 2

3.    Comment on the Priority Order for each job:

Job Critical Ratio Comment
A 1.25 The job is  ahead of schedule and has some slack
B 0.6 The job is on schedule
C 1.0 The job is falling behind schedule
